Meta Program and It’s Work

How can we hope to attain an enriched understanding of ourselves and other people? The tool that can we use to help us is meta-programs. Meta program is about determine what you would like to change about yourself, and how to best interact with others based upon your knowledge of their preferred behavioral patterns.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming uses the term specifically to indicate the more general pervasive habitual patterns commonly used by an individual. Examples of NLP meta-programs include the preference for overview or detail, the preference for where to place one’s attention during conversation, linguistic patterns and body language, and so on.
So here’s a few examples of common meta-programs:
1. The preference for overview or detail. No matter how small or insignificant, some people feel incomplete without knowing every tiny aspect of a situation. Others prefer to work with summaries, and become very bored and overburdened with too many details. Which of these types do you think would make a good accountant or engineer?
2. All human beings have one thing in common, we either move towards pleasure or move away from pain. This can be rather obvious, like when you move your hand away from a lit match, or you watch a beautiful sunset.
3. Using internal or external frames of reference. And that’s enough to bring them great satisfaction. While another person needs to receive constant praise from their boss and colleagues to achieve any degree of satisfaction with their job performance.
There are many other meta-programs. The point is not to list them all here for you, but to get you to observe and be aware that these human patterns called meta-programs exist.
If you were trying to sell something to a person who prefers overviews to details, would you go on and on about all the small details of your product? You would bore them half to death and probably end up losing the sale. Instead you would present the benefits and features of your product in summary format and leave out the details.
