NLP submodalities simply are the manner in which we internally re-present the data gathered by our senses. The main function of submodalities patterns is for changing states. According to NLP, our emotion will be changed when the submodalities of the experiences in our mind or internal representation is changed.
Just try this exercise now: Close your eyes, and then recall an unhappy experience that you encountered lately. What kind of picture you can see now? Any sound? What is the feeling right now? Now, try to do the steps as below:
Turn the sound louder
Make the picture brighter and bigger
The sizes of the people that you are confronting are growing bigger

I ever make the article about Calibration to Reading Your Child Emotions. And I receive many questions about what the calibration exactly. Well, in this article I would like explain about the Calibration.
Calibration is a process to tune our distinctions from an objective point of view rather than a subjective point of view. Calibration is the important element in NLP. Let us focus on building our ability to observe through these three basic senses, namely the visual, auditory and kinesthetic senses first.

When you started you had a clear vision of your goals, but now you don’t know any more whether you are going in a right direction, you have begun to fear, worry and doubt. This is usually the moment we leave the right path and start going around in circles. Worry and fear cause doubt which is the biggest reason of all the failures in our lives. Our confidence is cut off when we are fearful and worried.
The act of worrying is using your imagination and emotion to create something you do not want. If you are in a situation where you haven’t got any results, and you start to question and doubt, you are moving away from your goals. If you have been doing affirmations over a period of years and still getting nowhere, it would be wise to look inwardly at the pictures that you have been holding. If you are not sure, then it will not come to pass, because the messages you send to your subconscious mind are controversial and you sabotage your goals.
