Our subconscious is very interesting as it will always take our thoughts verbatim or as exactly how we state them. With that in mind, we must always be very careful as to what we think!

Our reality of life or how we perceive life is created by what we tend to focus on. So ‘what’ are you focusing on in a continuing basis? Which leads me to my next question, “Are you ‘self aware’ of your daily thoughts?”

What I mean by that question is do you actually analyze your daily thoughts? I’m sure you consistently think in the same pattern of thoughts that you have for years. For example, you wake up in the morning and think the same thoughts. You’re driving into work, thinking the same thoughts you do whenever you drive into work, come home, make dinner, watch TV, and so on.

When you really start to analyze your thoughts, become self aware of your thoughts, you may notice that you possibly may be thinking de-motivational thoughts. These are most likely thought patterns that you have been running through your mind for over the past months if not ‘years’. For the examples:
- I’m not beautiful
- I’m fat
- Why does this always happen to me?
It’s now time for you to become aware of your thoughts and how they hold you back from what you really what to achieve!

Starting today, each time you have a de-motivating thought I want you to write it down on a piece of paper. Make a list and number them. Keep this list with you at all times and as the days go by, do one of the following steps:
1) When a new de-motivational thought pops into your mind, add it to your list
2) Place a mark beside the one(s) that keeps popping into your thoughts. Thus, keeping a tab as to how many times you think the same de-motivational thought.
