Self Hypnosis is simple, you do not need someone to help with self hypnosis techniques. You must relax the body which makes the hormones that cause stress weaken and you must concentrate on other things besides what is bothering you.

In self hypnosis you have to create affirmation statements that will help you fight the problem and find solutions. Affirmation statements should be a positive declaration that will make your life and the lives of those around you better. They need to remain positive in nature. Always pick and memorize your affirmations before you try to go into a self hypnosis trance.

To do the self hypnosis, you have to find a comfortable place and no one will bother you for the duration of the session. Relaxation is the key to good self hypnosis so the body must be totally calm and relaxed. To do this start by tensing the muscles in the neck and shoulders then breathe out and release. Progress to the arms, the back, the stomach, legs and so on.

While you relax each part of the body affirm that you are doing so by stating I am relaxing my left shoulder now, I am starting to relax the upper part of my back, and so on. Every once in a while throw in one of your memorized affirmation statements and continue relaxing. Mix the relaxation affirmations with the positive affirmations you have prepared.

Keep sessions to 15-20 minutes long. Sessions can go longer but when you are just starting out with self hypnosis your likely to fall asleep. Set a timer for 20 minutes to make sure you do not fall asleep.

Self Hypnosis allows you to set goals and prepare what you wish to achieve prior to the session. Your mind knows what these goals and objectives are which makes them all the more real when you perform a session. Suggestions must go to the conscious mind first then they are processed to the subconscious. The subconscious takes over when you are relaxed or about to go to sleep and the subconscious can’t differentiate between what is real or fantasy.

If you can by pass the conscious mind, the subconscious will take an affirmation and make it real in your mind. So if you state that you will no longer crave chocolate your subconscious may prevent you from wanting chocolate. You may find yourself snaking a little healthier and not even realize you are doing it.

Self Hypnosis allows you to deal with anger and stress. You can deal with that problem that has been nagging you for a long time. Self Hypnosis allowed you to live in peace and tranquility.
